My Sister's Keeper

My Sister's Keeper
This would have to be one of my favourite pieces in the "Year of Jewellery" collection, simply because of the amount of love, care and thought that went into it.  The gorgeous image, in sepia tone, of the two little girls (sisters? friends?) is set behind a glass dome, which was then peyote-stitched around, then embellished using Swarovski pearls and Cubic Zirconia's.  Further Swarovski pearls were then embroidered into the "strap", which was also hand-woven with tiny glass Delica seed beads.  The clasp is a pewter toggle clasp.

The colours are an unusual combination, but I think they work so well together with the sepia tone image.  The Cubic Zirconia's are pale purple, along with the accent seed beads, and the woven band is a brick red/brown colour - very vintage-looking.

Currently measures 39cm (15in) but can easily be extended by adding further jump rings to the back of the necklace, near the clasp.

ONE OF A KIND - will be beautifully gift-wrapped prior to sending.
