The legend of Tristan and Isolde is one of the most influential medieval romances - a love triangle between the hero, his uncle and his uncle's wife. Their tale predated and influenced the Arthurian romance of Lancelot and Guinevere.
While I was making this beautiful cross pendant, the name "Isolde" just popped into my head. I had heard of "Tristan and Isolde" before but knew nothing of their story. To my surprise, after researching the tale, I realised that "Isolde" was the perfect name for this gorgeous piece. Fit for a Queen!
I have made a cross frame from non-tarnish silver artistic wire, then I attached 4mm and 5mm semi-precious round stones to it's face (Rose Quartz, Aventurine, Hematite, Garnet, Citrine, Cape Amethyst). I added a large cream freshwater pearl to the middle, for focus, then I entwined tiny silver-lined glass seed beads throughout, finally attaching a faceted briolette of gorgeous Candy Jade and hanging it from a silver plated cable chain with parrot clasp.
True elegance and romance all wrapped up in a gorgeous pendant.
Length of pendant: 9.5cm (3 3/4in)
Length of chain (can be altered for no charge, just let me know what length you'd prefer): 66cm (26in).
ONE OF A KIND - will be beautifully gift-boxed prior to sending.
