This pretty necklace reminds me of a Victorian summer garden - pretty mauves, antique silver and the pewter dragonfly evoke that kind of feeling.
One gorgeous faceted teardrop of crystal clear glass is suspended beneath a plethora of pretty purple beads including Swarovski crystals, tiny glass pearls, fibre optic "cats eye" beads and purple Czech glass flowers. The pewter dragonfly hanging on top just ties it all in nicely.
The silver bail it hangs from is engraved and very decorative. The chain is very special - oxidised silver-coloured, making it look old, the cross-links on the chain are also engraved (not able to pick this up very well with the camera, as they're so tiny). The clasp is a little decorative silver-plated one, also dark silver.
Just gorgeous! If you love the olde-worldy look of simple, Victorian-era jewellery, this necklace will probably appeal to you.
