This gorgeous pendant consists of a handmade, one of a kind, custom ordered, glass cabachon from one of my favourite lampwork artists from Australia. I commissioned her to make me two different glass cabachons and specified exactly my requirements - one I had to keep for myself, such was it's beauty, and you are looking at the other one (it was a tough choice, believe me!!).
This one is a combination of beautiful strawberry pink/red combined with touches of lime green on a clear glass base. I have wire-wrapped it using designer Eni Oken's technique of wire wrapping, using a basket weave bail and "netted" the cabachon into place so that it's super secure - no glue or soldering has been used, purely wire!
I should mention that as usual, I've used non-tarnish silver artistic wire as well, for years of wearing pleasure :) While this technique is very time consuming (many hours of work have gone into this piece) it really is worth it - it does so much justice to the cabachon, letting as much light get to it as possible and allowing the natural colours of the glass to show through.

SIZE: Including bail, it measures 4cm x 2.7cm (being 1 1/2in x just over 1in) from top to bottom/widest point across. The opening in the bail (for threading your chain through) is a good multi-purpose size: 7mm x 9mm.
